Pacific View Mall Repositioning Celebrates Opening of Three Retailers

The opening of three main retailers, including Trader Joe’s, BevMo! and Staples, marks the substantial completion of the Pacific View Mall repositioning effort for north portion of the mall. Pacific View Mall, a popular local shopping destination in Ventura, Calif., has undergone phased improvements since 2009 to help bring the north side of the mall “back to life.”

Oakland FoodsCo Second P+R Store Designed to Achieve Energy Star Certification

LONG BEACH (June 3, 2011) – The Oakland, Calif. FoodsCo is the second Perkowitz+Ruth Architects (P+R) grocery store to achieve the Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR certification as announced by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This store, as well as the Yuma, Ariz. Fry’s Food & Drug Store recognized in April, is among only six supermarket projects nationwide to have met the criteria.

P+R’s Jamillah Muhammad Travels to Costa Rica for a Habitat for Humanity Work Week

After taking part in a seven-day work week in John’s Island, SC last Fall, P+R’s Jamillah Muhammad made a personal commitment to soon return for a second volunteer trip with Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village program. The Global Village program allows volunteers to experience another culture while also making a difference in the lives of those for whom you would be building. Global Village volunteers work alongside members of the host community in building decent, affordable housing.
