President and CEO

One of the founding partners of Perkowitz+Ruth Architects, President and CEO Sy Perkowitz, AIA, PE, has provided leadership for every aspect of the firm's development and continues to take an active role in client projects. A licensed architect in 19 states and a licensed professional engineer in the state of California, Perkowitz is active in numerous professional organizations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers where he serves as a member of the Southern California Planning Committee. He is a member of the Long Beach, CA Chamber of Commerce and the chairman of the City of Palos Verdes Estates, CA Planning Commission. He holds a bachelor of science degree in architectural engineering from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo.
